Join us at West Art for a special screening of An American Pastoral — an award-winning documentary about the intense 2023 school board election in Elizabethtown, PA. We're happy to partner with the League of Women Voters of Lancaster County to bring you this important and timely film, which shows how a school board race became a microcosm of America's national culture war. It serves as an excellent conversation starter for the future of public education & and the ways that we navigate our differences amidst deep community divides in small-town America. 

After the screening, stay for a panel discussion hosted by Matt Johnson, featuring several of the individuals who appear in the film. They’ll share behind-the-scenes stories, reflections on the filmmaking process, and add to the deeper conversations the documentary has sparked in our community.
