Contest Dates:  January 12 – March 13, 2026

The 2026 midterm elections will determine the composition of Congress and key Pennsylvania offices like Governor, State Representative, and judicial seats. These elected officials have a direct impact on your community and your future. We want to hear from you: What issues matter most, and how will your vote help you get there?

THE REWARDS

Prizes are awarded in two categories: High School and College.
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $75
3rd Place: $50
Note: Prizes are awarded to the Project Leader.
Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

AT A GLANCE

Theme: “My Vote. My Future.”
Format: Up to 90 seconds (Max 300MB).
Contest Dates: January 12 – March 13, 2026.
Deadline: Must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on March 13, 2026.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

To be eligible, your video MUST display a link to one of the following on-screen:

• https://www.pa.gov/agencies/vote/voter-registration

• Vote411.org

ELIGIBILITY

Who: Current Lancaster County HS and College students (public, private, orhome-schooled) at least 14 years old.
Neighboring Districts: Students from nearby districts without a local county League are also eligible.
Exclusions: Prior 1st place winners, Contest judges, and immediate family/dependents of the LWV Lancaster County Board are not eligible.

CONTEST RULES (Avoid Disqualification)

Nonpartisan: Do not support, demean, or defame any political party, candidate or person.
Appropriate Content: No material that is indecent, obscene, pornographic, hateful, violent, discriminatory, or unlawful.
Copyright: No brand names or trademarks. Music and images must be Public Domain, Creative Commons, or your own original work.
Student-Produced: Adults may give verbal guidance or act, but no professional production assistance is allowed.

JUDGING CRITERIA (Scale of 1-10)

1. Message: Clear and compelling message.

2. Content: Memorable content and delivery.

3. Originality: Creative and unique approach.

SUBMISSION CHECKLIST

1. Entry Form: Complete the online Parent Permission Form Online Entry (Parent signature required if under 18).

2. Actor Releases: An Actor Release Form is required for every person appearing in the video.

3. Email Video: Send your file (.mp4 or .mov) to vote411lancastercounty@gmail.com

LIABILITY & THE FINE PRINT

Rights: Contestants grant the Sponsor the right to use their names and videos for publicity, advertising, and promotional purposes without compensation. Submissions become the exclusive property of the Sponsor.

Liability: Contestants and winners agree to indemnify and hold the LWV of Lancaster County harmless against all claims, injuries, or liabilities arising from the Contest or use of prizes.

Finality: Participation constitutes agreement to the Official Rules. Decisions of the Sponsor are final. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest due to technical failures, viruses, or tampering.
